The Ranger's operating system is Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0. Run the Mobile version of all your favorite programs including PowerPoint and Outlook. Or download the product pages from the TDS Survey Catalog. The Ranger's two CompactFlash (CF) slots allow you to add GPS, GPRS, bar-code scanners and other CF devices. Use the Secure Digital (SD) slot to add data storage and SDIO devices. You have the option of integrated Bluetooth and 802.11g wireless. The Ranger now comes in two models, the 300X and the 500X, to give you the choice of adding the options you want. A lithium-ion battery pack keeps your Ranger going strong day after day. With normal use, the Ranger's PowerBoot Module provides 30 hours of power. Recharging time is significantly reduced with the use of lithium-ion batteries 4.5 hours for full recharge and two hours for 80% recharge.
