AMINCO BRENNER COATING THICKNESS STANDARD MAGNE GAGE Made in the USA by American Instrument Co. The 5-660 Standard Magne-Gage is used for all general flat and curved surface work with which the gauge head can be lowered directly onto the point of measurement. Operation of the Magne-Gage is based on the magnetic attraction between a small selected permanent magnet and the substrate or the coating of the materiel being tested. The Magne-Gage is essentially a sensitive spring balance, indicating on it's graduated dial the degree of force required to detach it's permanent magnet from the surface of the specimen.
