WHAT THE MANUFACTURER STATES ABOUT THE CURRENT PRODUCT: "The Hazardous Duty MASTERFLEX Drive System Model 7583-50 consists of a fixed speed 120V, single phase, 60 Hz motor, a variable mechanical speed reducing control, and a pump mounting bracket with the appropriate drive adapters for MASTERFLEX L/S and MASTERFLEX I/P pumps. In addition to the first L/S or I/P head used, a maximum of two MASTERFLEX L/S or one MASTERFLEX I/P add-on pump heads is recommended (for a TOTAL of 3 MASTERFLEX L/S heads or 2 MASTERFLEX I/P heads). The pump mounting plate will accept all MASTERFLEX L/S and MASTERFLEX I/P Pump Heads with standard (short) shafts. Additional MASTERFLEX Pump Heads with standard (short) shafts may be used in tandem. The pump speed can be varied from 10 to 430 rpm. The pump rotates in one direction only, clockwise." - Use either L/S or I/P pump head on drive. L/S flow rate: 0.6 to 2500 mL/min; I/P flow rate: 60 to 8800 mL/min. Flow rate depends on drive rpm and tubing size. NOTE: The rubber coupling sleeve and coupling drive adapters for the I/P and L/S heads are not included. - Hazardous-duty drive for hazardous locations where special electrical precautions are necessary. 115 VAC motor: UL-listed for Class 1, Division 1, Group D hazardous locations. - Fully mechanical speed control adjust with lever then lock setting. Mechanical control is inherently safer from sparking than electrical control. - Power switch and line cord are not included.
