The "freeband" mod allows this radio to transmit from 40.000Mhz - 224.995Mhz and 300Mhz - 579.995Mhz. The radio is in good cosmetic condition - there are a few minor scuffs on the back, but the front is perfect. The screen is in perfect condition. The Yaesu VX-7R is a triple band (6M, 2M & 440 MHz) HT with extensive receive coverage, and leading-edge features. The American version even transceivers with 300 mW on the 220 band.
